Overview
Without question: our most impressive event ever with the best action, the most raffle prizes, and, most importantly, the most food ever collected for this event. It was an enjoyable time for participants, parents, and grandparents. In the words of two parents, “it was the best demo we have witnessed so far, by far.”
Food Drive
We collected nearly 20 grocery bags of food soups, rice, pasta, crackers, chili, canned fruit, chips, and much more. “Everyone at the Senior Nutrition Program appreciates all your giving this year,” shared Cindy Smith, SNP administrater. “MSMAP kids are the best!”
Merchant Support
With the help of several families, we collected an impressive array of over 30 prizes to give to entrants in the raffle contest. And, it took only three food items to enter best raffle ever).
Local Businesses. We are very appreciative of our friends in the business community for their very generous support in helping to make this raffle truly reflect the spirit of the holidays: increase awareness of those in need and assist our homebound seniors and make their holidays a little brighter.
Shop Local. We’ve said it before, and we’re happy to say it again: it is our very strong belief that nothing improves our community more than supporting local events such as this and local programs such as ours. Many local merchants and individuals made significant contributions to the success of this event; we encourage you to reciprocate that support now and again. As you do your holiday shopping and even for the rest of the year please consider shopping local.

The Mount Shasta Martial Arts Program and Nuria’s Dance Academy held a very successful event on December 16, 2009. There were martial arts, dance, and tenagle (ping-pong/tennis) demonstrations, food, and raffle prizes.
This was the second open house hosted by MSMAP and was a big difference from the year before with a working heater(!), modern training area, and professional dance floor. We offer area families a truly unique, affordable activity center for all to enjoy.

The generosity of our local community made our food drive a HUGE success with 15 grocery bags filled with food to support our neighbors in need this holiday season! The food contributions go to Meals-On-Wheels Shasta.
